Legs

This page covers how MesoLive tracks legs, how executions map onto legs, and what tools exist to repair tracking when reality diverges.

Leg Details

The Leg Details page is the per-leg troubleshooting and correction view.

  • URL pattern: https://mesolive.io/legs/{LegId}

You typically reach this page by clicking a leg from a position view.

What you can do here

  • Review leg identity and contract (expiration/strike/right) and which account/position it belongs to
  • Review executions tracked from the broker (useful for partial fills and reconciliation)
  • Apply manual corrections:
    • Quantity
    • Avg Entry Price
warning

Manual corrections affect PnL/greeks rollups and downstream signals. Always verify in your broker before applying changes.

Leg-scoped actions

  • Liquidate a single leg: opens the liquidation workflow for just that leg
  • Set closed: marks the leg closed in MesoLive’s database (does not place broker orders)

Assign Legs

MesoLive tracks positions by combining:

  • Strategy Definitions (the plan), and
  • live brokerage executions (the reality)

Sometimes MesoLive detects legs that are not yet assigned to a named position/strategy. This happens when trade was made while Agent was not running.

In those cases the Portal shows an Assign Legs button.

Assign leg button locations

  • Positions: https://mesolive.io/positions
  • Strategies: https://mesolive.io/strategies
  • Underlyings: https://mesolive.io/underlyings

Usage

  1. Click Assign Legs to open the assignment dialog.
  2. Expand a row to see open legs.
  3. Select one or more legs, then click Assign to position.
  4. Choose:
    • the target Strategy, and
    • an existing Position name, or New position…
  5. Confirm.

Safety notes

Assignment changes MesoLive’s internal grouping and can affect rollups and leg selection constraints.
