Install Overview

This page describes the end-to-end setup required to start using MesoLive.

Prerequisites

• Active MesoSim subscription with the MesoLive AddOn or FundPro subscription tier.
• A supported OS: Windows/macOS/Linux
• A supported data source / broker connection:
  • Interactive Brokers (TWS) and/or
  • TastyTrade

Install the Agent

MesoLive requires a companion app called the MesoLive Agent. It connects to your brokerage via API and shares account/position data with MesoLive service.

• GUI app (Windows/macOS): MesoLive Agent Setup (GUI)
• CLI (Docker/Linux/servers): MesoLive Agent Setup (CLI)

Security

With the help of the MesoLive Agent your credentials never leave your machine. You are also in full control regarding brokerage access: as long as the Agent runs, the connection is provided to the MesoLive backend. As soon as the Agent is stopped, the backend’s access to your brokerage will be disabled.

The transmission between the Agent and MesoLive backends is secured with a tamper-proof (JWT signed with RSA) key and SSL protocols.

Our model removes the risk of sharing sensitive credentials with third-party services, while still providing the convenience of a cloud-based platform.
